I shared a picture of my most recent tattoo in the "You Know You're CWazy when..." thread and was asked about the symbol in the middle, which is a modified version of the claddagh (the words on the outside are my personal goals, the claddagh represents my values.)
A traditional claddagh is comprised of hands, heart, and crown. The hands represent friendship, the crown is for loyalty, and the heart for love. My modified claddagh uses triquetras in place of the hands. The triquetra still represents friendship, but is also a sign of the triple Goddess and a sign of female empowerment.
