This is the title of a beautiful movie set in Donegal, Ireland. It has won numerous awards.

I heard of the movie from my dear friend Cathy Lewis, when we saw her at her sister's home in Alachua on Saturday.

Watch the Trailer:

I love everything about the movie.....the subject, the acting, the location, and the fact that all the family can enjoy it.
Don't watch it without a box of kleenex though.....even Dave got teary-eyed!
He said "I've never seen that part of Ireland.....I want to go there". So I have to take him to Inishowen, so he can see
the ancient stone fort from 1700 BC, the unspoilt beaches, Dunree Fort, the stone circle, the seals and seabirds.

One of the best things about this part of the world is the music.
There are regular traditional Pub sessions, and a céili of course.
It was at one of these sessions that the Film Crew saw 3 local sisters "The Henry Girls" and liked their music
so much they asked them to play for the movie soundtrack. They were nominated for an award, and went to
the Los Angeles Irish Film Festival, where they ended the night with a rousing concert.
Don't you love it when talented local people get a magical break?
Here are the Henry Girls in an interview at Celtic Connections, and at 6:45 on the video
they sing "Early in the Morning" from the movie:

In nearby Moville there is also a special Music Festival dedicated to Bob Dylan...
there is also a "BeatlesFest":

"DylanFest on the Lough, Ireland's only annual festival of Bob Dylan music takes place in Moville where bands
from all over Europe and visitors from all over the world congregate to play and hear Bob Dylan music.
The DylanFest takes place in the pubs, the streets of the town, on the shores of Lough Foyle and in
the picturesque grounds of the hostel at Gulladuff House. • BeatlesFest on the Lough takes place
every year when bands from all over Europe come and play in the streets and pubs of Moville.

There is also the Buncrana Music and Arts Festival."

Re the location:
Inishowen is a peninsula at the Northernmost tip of Ireland.
It is in the Republic, but very close to the border with Northern Ireland.
You can cross the border, but you would be in a different country (UK) and you would need British Pounds.
