Most PBS stations start taking pledges a few days before the pledge drive on TV. Write to them or e-mail a couple of weeks ahead, and ask how soon you can pledge for the High Kings. In my case, the Pledge Drive started on TV Saturday 5th March. They started taking pledges on 1st March. They charge your credit card immediately, but you won't get your ticket allocation for several weeks.
