Hanson....live at Albertane Hall...very relaxing..
A while ago there was a beautiful TENOR with R S Chorale singing "Lorena"
This is a Civil War song...which was constantly being banned by the commanders for
making the men, so depressed , weeping etc...You would hear strains of it
coming from both sides as they huddled around their campfires...So music does
move the soul....the men were not allowed to sing it or to listen to it if the
commanders had their way...reminded the men of their wives and sweethearts and
also probably the Lost Loves...whatever...it was deemed too emotional for
battle-ready soldiers..
