It's on Hulu. You'll have to search for the title. It doesn't have a rating either, but the first episode had blood and minor cursing. The spoken language for the anime is Japanese (weird, isn't it?) even though the characters have some English and Celtic/Gaelic names.

The first episode deals with a priestess (named Riannon) being used as a sacrifice for a demon lord named Arawn, but the demon lord turns out to be...not evil, and Riannon thanks the demon lord for saving her. Riannon's brother is named Arthur. I've only seen the first episode, and I'm going to watch the rest later. I found it when just looking for anime to watch on Hulu. The animation is pretty good, though! Lots of swords play, axes, bows, and magic. I just thought people would be interested in knowing that there is actually an anime with figures in Celtic/Gaelic lore.

Sadly, no English dub. A lot (from my guess, it's roughly 75%+) of the anime on Hulu is in Japanese with English subtitles. It would have been great if it were in English, but it's due to licensing from the anime companies (from Japan) that Hulu gets it from. I believe it would cost Hulu more to get the rights for streaming it in English, though I DO believe that this anime was probably available in English in the past (not on Hulu, possibly on Netflix; I remember seeing it or something like it on there). So the rights for streaming this anime in Japanese with English subtitles may cost less for Hulu, which is why they vouched for doing so. It's a shame, really. I would have loved to hear the dub with English (it would have been nice if they had British and Irish voice actors/actresses), but you can actually find it on Blu-Ray on Amazon!

Here's the synopsis of the series:

In a strange dark age, across the land that will someday become Europe, the Divine Empire has been on the march, ruthlessly devouring its weaker neighbors for generations. But when a savage priest attempts to resurrect the long-buried Demon King Arawn by sacrificing Riannon, the young high priestess of the Gael Clan, the Empire sows the seeds of its own destruction! Deciding to side with the beautiful girl instead, the revived Demon Lord joins forces with her potentially legendary brother Arthur, and begins to assemble a mighty force that may just bring the Divine Empire its knees! Humans, elves and even dragon take arms in a spectacular animated interpretation of the Celtic, Gaelic, British and Roman myths of Albion, as an all star English vocal cast adds the crowning glory to TEARS TO TIARA the complete epic collection!

Update of sorts. I just got watching another series, so now I'm on the fourth episode of Tears to Tiara. So far, it seems that the anime is showing how the Celtic tribes were forced out of mainland Europe hundreds of years ago from the Roman Empire, and they sought refuge in other places in Europe, and a lot of the prominent tribes are in the British Isles (Ireland included). In the 4th episode, a general named Gaius is pushing the one Gael (Celtic) tribe northward to Erin Island (Ireland). So far a wise sage has joined the group for the clan with Arthur, Arawn (dubbed the Demon King), Riannon, and an archer named Morgan.

Another interesting fact; in the time around this era, a Celtic tribe was forced to migrate and made home in Israel. Turns out that tribe was the beginning of the Galatians in the Bible.

I read that beforehand in my Celtic World history book I bought years ago, but started to read it last year and in 2014 (I haven't finished it yet, as I've been busy).

EDIT1: Got to see a lot more of the anime. It's really good!! It turns out that the "Divine Empire" (Roman Army) had a general under them named Octavia. She valued her soldiers' lives more and fought with honor. She had a dispute with her leading officer in the army and humiliated him in a Coliseum fight. She was then imprisoned by her own armor, but was rescued by the Celtic tribe. The episode I just watched, she joins sides with the Celtic tribe and is now fighting alongside them against the Roman Army. There are also elves in this story, but they do not have pointed ears like we are accustomed to with knowing what an elf is. They have normal ears, but they have a lifespan greater than a human's in this story. Plus there are different factions of them, such as seafaring, mining/blacksmith, forest-born, and so on. It's interesting. One of the elves is named Epona, which if you know your Celtic culture, is a Celtic Goddess of horses.

All right, update. I managed to watch all 26 episodes of Tears to Tiara. It covers a lot of the Celtic creation myth near the end of the series. I'll have to go through my Celtic history book I bought from B&N to see which characters were used in the show. It was really good. It turns out that the Roman soldier Octavia went against the army and sided with the Celtic tribe! Sadly she fought against her childhood best friend and killed her since her (Octavia's) ideals with how the army should operate clashed to what the senators in the Roman government wanted. In the end, Arthur (near the middle of the series) killed the Roman general Gaius, but Gaius also saw that Arthur (as well as Arthur's younger sister Rhiannon) were good people and he was just following orders by the government. The "wizard" Ogam, who is a *very* old friend to Arawn (Arawn's real name was Lucifer, and this "Lucifer" is totally different from the Biblical one that we know; I read about the Celtic Lucifer before), and Ogam is actually a dragon! You'll have to see it.

The true enemy pulling the strings showed up at the end of the series. You'll have to see it for yourself. I'd rate the whole series 10/10. It was pretty good, though you had to bear with the Japanese audio instead of hearing the show in English. It wasn't all that bad.
