Dear [deleted], Thank you for your email and thank you for your support. Unfortunately we had to cancel the west coast portion of the US tour, as well as a handful of other dates throughout the country (including St Louis.) Ticketmaster is just catching up with us as many of these changes are very recent. I hope that we make it out to your area in 2009. Please continue to check the website for updates. WELL, SISTERS - YOU WILL JUST HAVE TO COME TO ORLANDO!!! Kathleen and Zee - that's an order!!! House invite is still open for a visit. The house that's open is mine....... ....on Saturday night 27th September. The Theatre is only 5 minutes from the house. I only have one spare bedroom, and I think Rich & Chris might have booked it. But we have a sofa-bed in the living room, plus an aerobed. Room for a couple of sleeping bags too, so about 6 sisters. First come first served! You will be protected by the fearless O'Malley.....unless he hears thunder, then he will be hiding under my bed. We will not be home on the Friday night, we will be in Cocoa Beach for the Irish Club Beach Weekend. I am giving up the céilí on the Saturday night.....to dash back to Orlando for the High Kings! There are many hotels on International Drive near the Theatre. This hotel is within walking distance of the Theatre and has great rates if you book online - $55.96 for the standard room and $63.96 for the Executive. http://qualityinn-orlando.com/ All rooms have coffee-maker, fridge, microwave. Particularly if we've met the person before (can never be too careful on the internet!). But many of us have met each other before and formed lasting friendships. But just because we already know each other doesn't mean there isn't room for more. There's always room for more friends at a Forum gathering...the more, the merrier!
A common theme is if several people are attending a concert in one area, the local forum members will "host" a get together at a restaurant or Irish Pub ahead of time. Bob (Conchobar) and I hosted one here in St Paul last year and it was loads of fun! Timi, the rule of thumb is that at any get together the ladies tend to get a suite or group of rooms together, we guys are catch as catch can. Overall the group of us end up hanging out and going to dinners, and lunches. There is usually one big meeting of everyone that is always a blast! I would recommend just hanging around the forum, when the next tour starts you will start talking to people and next thing you know you are traveling the country to go to shows. Trust me it happens. With two little ones (and one that would never forgive me if I ran off to a CW show without her), it makes it difficult to travel (especially when school is in session). But I think one close by would certainly be fun to be apart of. There are several of us in this North Texas area. I might could be apart of something in this area. Hanging out at the hotel...or wherever...great fun! Poor lads....... :P
